Key Responsibilities\n

• Provide Individualized Therapy: Conduct individual therapy sessions, offering evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to treat mental health issues like anxiety, depression, and trauma.

• Comprehensive Assessments: Carry out in-depth mental health assessments to identify clients' therapeutic needs, leading to the development of tailored treatment plans that meet their specific goals and challenges.

• Treatment Planning & Progress Monitoring: Regularly evaluate client progress against treatment goals, adapting plans as necessary to ensure the effectiveness of interventions.

• Collaborative Case Management: Work closely with other health professionals, including psychiatrists and social workers, to coordinate care, make appropriate referrals, and support comprehensive treatment strategies.

• Document Clinical Progress: Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation per HIPAA regulations and state guidelines, ensuring thorough records of client interactions and treatment outcomes.

• Ongoing Professional Development: Engage in continuing education and training opportunities provided by the organization to enhance your clinical skills and knowledge in current mental health practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work with a diverse range of clients, including children, adolescents, and adults facing a spectrum of mental health challenges. Our clients often present with anxiety disorders, depressive symptoms, trauma-related issues, and relationship concerns. The use of telehealth extends our reach, enabling access to clients who may have otherwise faced barriers to receiving mental health care.

Qualifications\n

• A valid New York State license as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC).

• A Bachelor's degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required; a Master's or Doctoral degree is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits\n

At Valence Counseling Services, we offer a competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $90,000, dependent on experience, along with performance-based bonuses. Benefits include:
