Business Development Director

Worker Type: Regular Summary An experienced Director of Business Development focused on Intelligence Community customers in Maryland is sought by AV. The successful candidate will manage relationships with Maryland Procurement Office (MPO), USCYBERCOMMAND, and other U.S. Intelligence customers, and will drive new business within the Intelligence Operations and Solutions Business Unit. The role involves collaborating across the organization and working closely with AV’s Senior Leadership Team to grow new business opportunities. Position Responsibilities Understand and articulate customer needs into service and/or product offerings to build, maintain and drive new business pipeline for the Intel Portfolio. Evaluate business opportunities by conducting pipeline reviews, gate reviews, and due diligence activities with customers and industry partners while contributing to growth strategies. Lead MPO and USCYBERCOMMAND growth activities by facilitating business opportunities through the acquisition process. Coordinate with P&L stakeholders to align technology, strategic growth, resources, and new business priorities. Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and industry partners. Bridge operations and growth by collaborating with internal technical and operational leads. Contribute to IC Growth Strategy through strategic captures, proposals, white papers, and investment planning to drive technical innovation. Lead, participate in, and travel to trade shows, conferences, and customer engagements. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience) Active TS/SCI clearance with full scope polygraph. Minimum of 10 years’ direct experience with MPO and USCYBERCOMMAND. Understanding of cyber operations, SIGINT, and software tool development capabilities. Proven record of pursuing and winning new business opportunities of significant size and complexity. Strong interpersonal communication skills to interact at executive levels of government and industry. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. Physical Demands Work in an office environment (Hybrid). Occupancy requires sitting and standing for extended periods and use of hands and fingers for computer and phone use.
