Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough and culturally sensitive mental health assessments that recognize and appreciate the unique experiences of each patient, leading to well-developed treatment plans tailored to their specific needs.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions using techniques such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and mindfulness practices, ensuring they are aligned with each patient's cultural and personal context.

• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions, focusing on promoting resilience, coping strategies, and overall mental health well-being.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other interdisciplinary professionals to provide comprehensive and coordinated care, ensuring all aspects of a patient’s mental health are addressed.

• Provide crisis intervention, offering immediate support to manage acute mental health emergencies effectively.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, available treatment options, and community resources, empowering them to take an active role in their mental health journey.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation as per legal and ethical standards, aiding in continuity of care and compliance.

• Participate actively in team meetings, case conferences, and cultural competency training sessions to enhance collaboration and skill development.

• Stay informed about current research, advancements in mental health practices, and cultural considerations relevant to therapy, ensuring the highest quality care for our patients.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your main focus will be on a diverse patient population that includes individuals from various ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds. This includes sensitivity and understanding towards LGBTQ+ issues, immigrant experiences, and the challenges faced by minority groups. The ability to communicate effectively with patients from different cultures will enhance the therapeutic relationship and lead to more successful outcomes.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related field is required.
\n
• Current licensure as a Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Massachusetts.

• Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to build rapport with patients and work collaboratively with a diverse team.

• Experience with telehealth services is an asset.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience providing therapy in multicultural settings is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits\n
