Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer Civilian Patrol in Newark, DE , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support daily operations through strong communication and customer service. - Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or drivers by carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observed activity and communicating with site contacts as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout loading areas, parking lots, trailer yards, entry points, and the exterior perimeter to help identify unusual conditions and support security-related procedures.
- Monitor the movement of visitors, vendors, and/or deliveries, following post instructions for check-in, badge verification, and restricted area access.
- Observe shipping and receiving activity, report operational or security-related concerns, and support order at the location through a professional presence and consistent application of post orders.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
