Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

As an Outpatient Physical Therapist, you will:

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess patients' physical conditions and establish individual treatment plans based on physician referrals.
• Implement evidence-based treatment strategies tailored to patients' specific needs, ensuring progress towards functional goals.
• Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities, to promote healing and enhance recovery.
• Provide education and training to patients and their caregivers on home exercises and injury prevention strategies.
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient progress, treatment plans, and outcomes in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team encompassing physicians, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
• Meet utilization goals set by the organization while contributing to productivity and patient satisfaction metrics.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population, including:

• Orthopedic patients recovering from surgeries or injuries.
• Pediatric patients requiring specialized treatment for developmental issues.
• Neurologic patients who need rehabilitation following strokes or traumatic brain injuries.
• Athletes looking for sports injury rehabilitation and performance enhancement.

Your ability to relate to individuals from various backgrounds and conditions will be critical in helping them achieve their rehabilitation goals.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid physical therapy license to practice in the state of Florida.
• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.

Preferred Experience

We require a minimum of two years of experience in an outpatient setting, with a strong emphasis on evidence-based practice. Proficiency in utilizing patient management software and documentation systems will be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits
