As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting an aerospace and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct access control and badge activities, respond to alarm-related concerns, and maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $23.86 / Hour As part of our hiring process, we would like to remind you that an active Department of Defense (DoD) Top Secret Clearance is a requirement for this position. Alarm Panel Experience (B202): familiarity with alarm panel systems allows me to respond effectively to security alerts and manage emergency protocols. Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet (B204): proficient in utilizing various software and applications, which enhances my ability to adapt to new technologies quickly. Customer Service Experience (B219): delivering exceptional customer service, understanding that effective communication and problem-solving are key to client satisfaction. Access Control/Badge Experience (B201): Candidates must demonstrate prior experience with access control systems and badge management. This includes familiarity with issuing, tracking, and managing employee and visitor access badges. CPR Certification (B205): Candidates must possess a valid CPR certification The certification must be current and not expired at the time of application. Job Schedule: Thur: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM Fri: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at an aerospace and defense-related location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities. Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, maintain entry records, and report access concerns in accordance with site procedures. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency personnel as directed. Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, exterior areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy concerns. Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and required logs while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality. Minimum Requirements: An active DoD Secret Clearance is required. CPR Certification is preferred. Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Access control/badge experience is preferred. Alarm panel experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
