Key Qualifications:
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT) in the state of New York
- Strong experience in school-based OT settings, including assessment and intervention planning
- In-depth understanding of IEP development and participation
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for collaborating with staff, parents, and students
- Commitment to professional ethics and student confidentiality
- Ability to adapt and respond flexibly to changing school needs
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and evaluations for students with diverse needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans and therapy goals
- Work closely with teaching staff to integrate OT strategies into the classroom
- Collaborate with families and multidisciplinary teams to support student development
- Maintain thorough documentation of progress and recommendations
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal setting
- Provide consultative services and resources to educators and parents
