Key Qualifications:

• Valid Occupational Therapist license in New York State
• Experience providing OT services within school settings or with pediatric populations
• Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
• Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills
• Ability to start ASAP and dedication to fulfilling contract requirements

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver evidence-based occupational therapy interventions to students in accordance with IEPs and 504 plans
• Assess students’ fine motor, sensory processing, and adaptive skills needs
• Document progress, maintain records, and participate in eligibility and IEP meetings
• Collaborate closely with teachers to integrate strategies within the classroom environment
• Educate and engage families in strategies to support their child’s development
• Maintain compliance with school and district policies, as well as all ethical and legal requirements
