Work Environment\n

This remote role allows the Licensed Clinical Social Worker to effectively connect with students, their families, and educational staff from the comfort of their own home while ensuring flexibility and responsiveness to the needs of clients. Regularly scheduled meetings will occur via secure video conferencing platforms, facilitating a cohesive working relationship with school personnel. Although primarily remote, this position may require occasional in-person visits to the school facility to meet with students and assess their needs accurately.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial evaluations of students to identify their emotional, mental, and social needs, ensuring a clear understanding of their unique backgrounds and challenges.

• Develop and implement targeted intervention plans that align with each student's individualized education plan (IEP) and personal goals, collaborating closely with educators and parents.

• Provide individual counseling sessions to students, addressing issues such as anxiety, depression, bullying, and academic stress, thereby promoting healthy coping strategies.

• Facilitate group therapy sessions, focusing on social skills development and emotional regulation, which are vital for student success in and out of the classroom.

• Advocate for students' rights and connect families to external resources, such as community mental health services, support groups, and social services to enhance their support network.

• Maintain accurate, confidential records of student assessments, treatment plans, and progress, leveraging electronic health record (EHR) systems to track interventions and outcomes effectively.

• Stay informed about current best practices in social work, school mental health, and relevant state and federal regulations to ensure compliance with ethical standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on children and adolescents attending school in San Antonio, Texas, as well as their families. The Licensed Clinical Social Worker will support students facing various challenges, including learning disabilities, socio-economic difficulties, emotional disturbances, and environmental factors that impact their educational journey.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required; an LCSW designation is essential for this role.

Compensation and Benefits\n
