Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify and evaluate clients' mental health and substance use conditions, ensuring the recognition of co-occurring disorders.

• Collaborate closely with clients to co-create personalized treatment plans that effectively address their specific mental health and substance use needs, utilizing evidence-based practices.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions where clients can learn coping mechanisms, develop relapse prevention strategies, and enhance emotional regulation skills.

• Work in coordination with our multidisciplinary team to ensure integrated and comprehensive care is delivered, fostering a sense of shared responsibility for client outcomes.

• Monitor substance use through regular check-ins and employ motivational interviewing techniques to empower clients in navigating their recovery.

• Educate clients and their families on the interconnectedness of mental health and substance use disorders while promoting adherence to treatment plans.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all treatment activities and ensure compliance with ethical standards and legal requirements.

• Actively participate in case conferences and professional training sessions to refine your skills in managing co-occurring disorders and integrated treatment methods.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will be working primarily with adults facing co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. Our clients often experience challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, and various psychosocial stressors. Your expertise and empathetic approach are vital in addressing their multifaceted needs and guiding them toward a sustainable recovery path.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.

• Strong proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic methods for treating co-occurring disorders, including Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment (IDDT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

• A solid understanding of the interrelationship between mental health and substance use challenges, with a capacity for adaptive problem-solving.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration within a multidisciplinary team framework.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience working with clients facing dual diagnoses, particularly within an outpatient or integrated care setting.

Compensation and Benefits\n
