Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Perform comprehensive intake assessments to identify clients' mental health issues, strengths, and needs. \n
- Design and execute individualized treatment plans that align with assessment conclusions and client objectives. \n
- Facilitate individual, group, and family therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and solution-focused therapy. \n
- Continuously monitor and document client progress throughout their therapeutic journey, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans to ensure optimal outcomes. \n
- Engage in cross-disciplinary collaboration with psychiatrists, primary care physicians, and case managers to provide comprehensive and cohesive client care. \n
- Advocate for clients' rights, ensuring they access appropriate mental health services and community resources that cater to their individual requirements. \n
- Uphold a high standard of confidentiality and ethical practice as dictated by state licensing boards and professional organizations. \n
You will work primarily with clients experiencing mood disorders, relationship issues, and familial conflicts. Your expertise will guide them through emotional challenges and help them develop coping strategies and essential life skills. By providing a safe space for clients to articulate their experiences, you will facilitate profound therapeutic transformations.
Qualifications\n- \n
- A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited institution is required. \n
- Valid and current licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of New York. \n
- Strong foundational knowledge in psychopharmacology to effectively collaborate with medical professionals. \n
- Proficiency in delivering evidence-based treatment modalities specifically for mood disorders including, but not limited to, CBT and DBT. \n

- Two or more years of post-licensure experience focusing on mood disorders and related issues is preferred. \n
- A demonstrated history of successful outcomes when treating clients with mood disorders. \n
- \n
- Compensation in the range of $115,000 to $130,000 annually, commensurate with experience and caseload. \n
