Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

As an early childhood educator in this specialized setting, you’ll work within a collaborative team to lay a strong educational foundation for children’s cognitive, social, and emotional development.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teaching licensure with early childhood endorsement (or ability to obtain)
• Previous experience with preschool-aged children or in early childhood special education settings
• Strong skills in developing and monitoring Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Proficient in assessment, observation, and data tracking related to student goals and progress
• Skilled communicator able to collaborate effectively with families, colleagues, and related service providers
• Familiarity with positive behavior supports and social-emotional learning strategies
• Commitment to inclusive, play-based instruction

Daily Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver instruction tailored to students’ individual needs using research-based strategies
• Conduct assessments to inform eligibility and instructional planning
• Collaborate closely with paraprofessionals, mentoring and guiding their work with students
• Foster environments that support successful participation through positive behavioral interventions
• Regularly engage with families to support student growth and learning beyond the classroom

This position operates Monday through Friday, following a structured daily schedule with morning and afternoon classroom sessions for small groups. You’ll find support from a dedicated multidisciplinary team and contribute to a nurturing, innovative educational atmosphere.
