Key Responsibilities\n

• Client Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments for clients presenting with mood disorders, systematically collecting information regarding their symptoms, psychological history, and relevant life factors to inform treatment planning.

• Providing Psychotherapy: Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and mindfulness techniques to help clients develop coping mechanisms and navigate their mood disorders.

• Collaboration with Psychiatrists: Work closely with the supervising psychiatrist to coordinate holistic care, offering insights regarding clients’ therapy responses and potential medication adjustments.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in New York.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience working specifically with mood disorders is strongly preferred.

Compensation and Benefits\n
