Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough initial assessments of clients’ mental health status and history, utilizing standardized assessment tools to inform diagnosis.

• Develop comprehensive treatment plans in collaboration with clients, integrating evidence-based interventions tailored to individual needs and goals.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, providing a safe space for clients to explore their thoughts and feelings while equipping them with practical coping strategies.

• Regularly monitor and document client progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to ensure the most effective therapeutic approaches are being utilized.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers to coordinate care for clients requiring medication management and additional services.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary clientele you will serve include adults, adolescents, and families facing a range of mental health challenges. You may work with clients dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, eating disorders, and other mental health issues. Your approach should encompass cultural competence and sensitivity, recognizing the unique backgrounds and experiences of each client.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree or higher in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, LCSW, or equivalent in the state of New York.

• At least two years of clinical experience in a mental health setting, demonstrating a strong ability to manage diverse client needs.

• In-depth knowledge of mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment modalities, alongside demonstrated crisis intervention capabilities.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, essential for building rapport with clients and fostering therapeutic alliances.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems, maintaining accurate documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements.

Compensation and Benefits\n
