Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to identify the needs of children and adolescents.

• Collaborate with child psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure a coordinated and comprehensive treatment approach.

• Maintain up-to-date, accurate, and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary patient population for this role includes children and adolescents facing various mental health challenges. Therapists will work closely with these young individuals and their families to navigate concerns ranging from anxiety and depression to ADHD and other behavioral disorders. Emphasis is placed on creating a safe, trusting environment that encourages open dialogue and healing.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Active and valid licensure as LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT in the state of Illinois.

• In-depth understanding of child and adolescent mental health disorders, and experience using evidence-based treatment modalities.

• Proven experience delivering individual and family therapy, particularly tailored to younger clients.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong commitment to a child-centered approach to care.

• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth platforms, ensuring efficient patient management.

• Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team, contributing insights and strategies to enhance patient care.

Preferred Experience\n

We prefer candidates with at least two years of experience in mental health counseling specifically focusing on children and adolescents. Experience with diverse populations and familiarity with community resources for young individuals will be beneficial. Specialized training in family therapy and crisis intervention is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits\n
