Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients referred by physicians, developing comprehensive and individualized treatment plans.
• Utilize a variety of therapeutic interventions, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities tailored to the patient's specific orthopedic needs.
• Deliver care in both a clinic and home-health setting, employing techniques that facilitate improvement in function and overall well-being.
• Engage with patients and their families, providing education on injury prevention, health maintenance, and recovery processes.
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Collaborate with a broader healthcare team to enhance overall patient success, ensuring effective communication and a unified approach to rehabilitation.
• Maintain meticulous records documenting patient evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes in line with regulatory requirements.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will focus primarily on orthopedic patients of all ages, including individuals recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic conditions. The diverse patient population may also encompass pediatric and neurologic cases, providing a rich clinical experience. Your expertise in different rehabilitation strategies will enhance patient recovery and promote their independence.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program recognized by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) or the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).
• Current State License in Physical Therapy for New Jersey.
• Basic Life Support Certification from the American Heart Association.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in using electronic health records and other computer systems.
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with patients and families, fostering a supportive and motivating therapeutic environment.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in outpatient orthopedic therapy is preferred, though newly graduated physical therapists who demonstrate eagerness to learn and grow in the field are also encouraged to apply.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package.
