This role is designed for a full-time Licensed Mental Health Counselor who will primarily work from the comfort of their home while conducting sessions via telehealth. Key Responsibilities\n

• Perform thorough mental health evaluations during initial consultations and document each client’s case comprehensively from start to finish.

• Assess clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health to formulate effective therapeutic strategies and interventions.

• Create personalized intervention and recovery plans for various demographics, including individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based techniques to promote healing and self-discovery.
\n
• Continuously monitor clients' progress against their treatment plans, adjusting strategies as necessary to align with their evolving needs.
\n
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive care and treatment for our clients.

• Provide follow-up support for clients who are hospitalized or require additional psychiatric care.
\n
• Identify potential barriers to recovery and implement prevention strategies to encourage clients' successful progress in therapy.

• Assist family members and primary caregivers in understanding and managing the mental health challenges faced by their loved ones.

You will be working with diverse client populations, including those experiencing a range of mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction disorders. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Active and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Oregon.

• A successful score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Strong written and oral communication skills, allowing for effective client interaction and documentation.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, demonstrating empathy, a non-judgmental attitude, and an understanding nature.

Preferred Experience\n

• Demonstrated prior experience as a mental health counselor, preferably in an outpatient setting.
\n
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR or similar platforms.
\n
• Experience with substance use disorders and dual diagnosis clients is welcome.
\n
• An understanding of the best practices as recommended by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
\n
• Knowledge of pharmacological interventions and their potential implications in therapeutic settings.
