Work Environment

You will work within a dynamic outpatient office setting focused on collaborative, multidisciplinary care. Our facility is equipped with state-of-the-art therapeutic tools and technology that enable our team to provide effective treatments in a supportive environment. Forecasted hours will primarily be Monday to Friday, presenting a balanced work-life schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct and implement individualized physical therapy treatment plans aimed at minimizing disability, alleviating pain, restoring muscle function, and maximizing clients' physical capabilities.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of clients' physical functioning through specialized tests to assess muscle, nerve, joint, and overall functional capabilities.
• Work collaboratively with physical therapy assistants to ensure the proper execution of care plans while providing oversight and mentorship.
• Assess the home environment to offer appropriate modifications or support that promotes patient independence and safety during rehabilitation.
• Administer physical therapy services as per physician's prescriptions, utilizing manual therapeutic exercises, traction, massage, and other physical agents effectively.
• Evaluate and adjust prosthetic and orthotic devices while communicating recommendations with the appropriate medical professionals.
• Document patient progress comprehensively through clinical records, including initial evaluations, care plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Actively participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, contributing to the holistic planning and evaluation of the patient's treatment strategies.
• Maintain timely and accurate communication with clients, families, and agency personnel regarding therapy plans and progress updates.
• Supervise physical therapy assistants in adherence to state regulatory guidelines, ensuring the highest standard of care delivery.
• Stay accessible for Physical Therapy Assistants during treatment sessions to provide guidance and support as needed.
• Contribute to ongoing care initiatives by completing additional duties that align with company objectives.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily serve a diverse patient population, facilitating recovery among clients who may be experiencing post-surgical rehabilitation, chronic pain management, or debilitating conditions that affect daily living activities. Your role will be vital in empowering clients to regain independence and lead fulfilling lives.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required. A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is a plus.
• At least one year of professional experience as a Physical Therapist, preferably in an acute care or home care environment.
• Valid and current physical therapy licensure in the state of Florida.
• Current CPR certification to ensure the safety of clients during therapeutic interventions.

Compensation and Benefits
