Position Overview

Gulf Side Physical Therapy is seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist (PT) to join our onsite rehabilitation center located in Torrance, California. This full-time position offers a unique opportunity to engage directly with our diverse patient population, focusing on orthopedic and musculoskeletal rehabilitation. The successful candidate will work Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, contributing to improved patient recovery and wellness outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed patient evaluations to identify individual needs, challenges, and goals, developing evidence-based treatment plans for optimal recovery.
• Work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team, including MDs, Occupational Therapists (OTs), and Chiropractors (DCs), ensuring a seamless 360-degree patient care model.
• Utilize state-of-the-art equipment and therapeutic modalities, such as ultrasound and electrical stimulation, to implement effective treatment interventions.
• Educate patients on injury prevention techniques, proper body mechanics, and relevant at-home exercises, empowering them to take an active role in their recovery.
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation of patient interactions and treatment plans using our intuitive Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system, optimizing workflow and communication.
• Participate in case conferences and clinical rounds to discuss patient progress and strategies for continuous improvement.
• Engage in ongoing clinical education workshops to stay current with best practices in physical therapy and enhance your skill set.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our facility primarily focuses on outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation. As a Physical Therapist, you will engage with a wide range of clients, including athletes recovering from sports injuries, post-operative patients, and individuals managing chronic musculoskeletal conditions. Your role is pivotal in delivering personalized care plans that aim to restore function and enhance quality of life for all patients.

Qualifications

• Active license to practice as a Physical Therapist in the State of California or eligibility for licensure.
• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy; advanced degrees (e.g., DPT) are a plus.
• Demonstrated strong clinical reasoning, manual therapy skills, and patient assessment capabilities.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of outpatient orthopedic experience is preferred, although motivated new graduates with relevant clinical experience and internships are also encouraged to apply.
• Experience with certifications in specialized areas such as dry needling, manual therapy, vestibular rehabilitation, or sports rehabilitation is advantageous.
• Prior engagement in mentorship or teaching roles is desired, as we promote a collaborative learning environment.

Compensation and Benefits

• Competitive salary range of $90,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
