Work Environment

This position is onsite at our Long Beach facility, which fosters a collaborative and supportive atmosphere among a close-knit team of experienced professionals. You will work alongside two other physical therapists and one physical therapist assistant (PTA), ensuring a comprehensive approach to patient care. The work schedule is structured from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced professional and personal life.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients to identify their specific needs and set individualized treatment goals.
• Manage a caseload of one patient per hour, ensuring efficient delivery of high-quality care.
• Utilize a variety of treatment techniques tailored to individual patient needs, including manual therapy and exercise regimens.
• Design and implement comprehensive treatment plans that promote functional improvements and expedite recovery timelines.
• Monitor, assess, and document patient progress regularly, making necessary adjustments to therapies as needed.
• Encourage patients throughout their rehabilitation journey, motivating them to achieve their personal best in mobility and function.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to provide holistic care to patients.
• Educate patients and their families about physical health, wellness, and preventive care strategies to enhance quality of life.
• Document all treatment activities and communications efficiently using EMR software, ensuring clear and concise records.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily serve orthopedic outpatient clientele, including individuals recovering from surgeries, injuries, or chronic pain conditions. Our diverse patient demographic allows for the application of a wide range of therapeutic techniques and treatments. Your role is crucial in guiding patients to achieve optimal recovery outcomes by addressing their unique challenges and fostering their physical health.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• Current California State License to practice as a Physical Therapist.
• A clean professional record without board actions or disciplinary measures.
• Proficiency in manual therapy techniques and exercise prescription.
• Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, specifically WebPT, is a plus.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong background in patient education and motivational support strategies.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and conduct fitness and wellness programs tailored to patient needs.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
