Work Environment

This position is based at our clinic in Long Beach and involves direct patient interaction in a supportive, clinical, and home-care setting. With a standard work schedule from 9 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday, our physical therapists enjoy a balanced work-life dynamic while being fully engaged in improving patients' lives.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and diagnose patients' physical conditions through a detailed assessment process, including medical history and physical examination.
• Create tailored and comprehensive treatment plans that reflect patients' individual needs and goals, employing varied therapeutic techniques.
• Provide hands-on therapy by utilizing advanced manual therapy techniques and modalities, consistently ensuring a high standard of care.
• Educate patients on their conditions and treatment options, emphasizing the importance of active participation in the recovery process.
• Encourage and motivate patients throughout their therapy journey to attain optimal health and fitness levels.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians and occupational therapists, to ensure integrated care approaches for our patients.
• Continuously monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment strategies as necessary to maximize effectiveness.
• Participate in team meetings and ongoing professional development opportunities to stay updated on the latest advancements in physical therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work primarily with an outpatient population, including individuals recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, and various orthopedic conditions. By employing a patient-centered approach, you will guide clients of all ages in recovery, rehabilitation, and the enhancement of physical performance and longevity. Each interaction is tailored to individual goals, ensuring a unique and specialized treatment experience for everyone.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Active licensing as a Physical Therapist in California, with no history of sanctions or board proceedings.
• Proficiency in various manual therapy techniques, demonstrating a comprehensive skill set applicable to orthopedic care.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills when creating and adjusting effective exercise programs.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in an outpatient setting, particularly focusing on orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Familiarity with EMR systems, particularly Web PT, for accurate documentation practices.
• Engagement in ongoing education to stay current with emerging methods and research in physical therapy.

Compensation and Benefits
