TheraSense Movement Rehab & Wellness Center is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist to join our team in Long Beach, California. Located in the vibrant heart of Long Beach, TheraSense Movement Rehab & Wellness Center is a PT-owned practice specializing in orthopedic outpatient therapy. Our 5,000 square foot state-of-the-art sports medicine facility is designed to provide a welcoming and effective rehabilitation environment. We primarily serve individuals with private medical insurance, ensuring that our patients receive personalized and comprehensive care tailored to their unique needs. Our team consists of experienced physical therapists and a supportive physical therapy assistant, all dedicated to collaborating and uplifting each other while providing extraordinary patient care.

Work Environment

This onsite position operates within an outpatient office setting where you will engage directly with patients from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM. Our workspace is designed to foster collaboration, with modern equipment and resources available to facilitate effective treatment processes. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify and address patients' physical therapy goals and requirements.
• Manage a patient caseload efficiently, typically seeing one patient per hour, allowing for thorough interactions and tailored treatment plans.
• Utilize evidence-based practices to design and implement treatment interventions aimed at restoring mobility and reducing pain.
• Develop comprehensive and individualized care plans that incorporate various therapeutic techniques, ensuring patients' needs and preferences are prioritized.
• Provide education and guidance on rehabilitation exercises, lifestyle changes, and wellness strategies to optimize recovery and overall health.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure a multidisciplinary approach to rehabilitation.
• Motivate and encourage patients throughout their treatment journey, fostering a positive outlook on their recovery.
• Continuously assess treatment outcomes, adjusting therapy techniques as necessary based on patient progress and feedback.
• Thoroughly document all patient interactions, treatments, and progress in our EMR system, emphasizing accountability and clear communication.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clinic specializes in orthopedic rehabilitation, serving a diverse client population ranging from active individuals recovering from sports injuries to older adults needing post-surgical rehabilitation. We are committed to addressing their unique needs through personalized care, physical training, and educational support, focusing on their movement potential and overall health improvement.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid California state license to practice as a Physical Therapist.
• An unblemished professional record, with no disciplinary actions against your license.
• Strong proficiency in manual therapy techniques and a proven ability to develop and implement effective exercise protocols.
• Familiarity with EMR software, particularly WebPT, to facilitate patient documentation and treatment tracking.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in orthopedic outpatient settings is highly preferred, enabling you to hit the ground running.
• A strong background in utilizing evidence-based practices to inform treatment approaches.
• Demonstrated ability to manage a diverse caseload effectively, with a focus on individualized patient care.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is competitive, offering between USD 100,000 and 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
