Key Responsibilities

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Engaging in detailed consultations with patients to gather information about their physical conditions and symptoms, enabling you to formulate effective treatment strategies.
• Diagnosing movement dysfunction by performing comprehensive evaluations, allowing for the development of tailored treatment plans.
• Instructing patients in the appropriate use of therapeutic exercises, monitoring their performance to ensure safety and efficacy.
• Administering therapeutic interventions such as massage and manual techniques to reduce pain and promote healing.
• Assisting patients with mobility devices, including wheelchairs and walkers, to enhance their independence and functionality.
• Documenting patient records meticulously, tracking progress and adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure continuous improvement.
• Providing education to patients and their families on in-home treatment options, exercises, and preventive care techniques.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you will need:

• A Doctor's Degree in Physical Therapy, with eligibility for state licensure in Virginia.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Proficiency in essential computer skills and organizational software for managing patient records and documenting care.
• A flexible attitude and adaptability in handling diverse patient conditions and treatment environments.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
