Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to determine patient physical conditions, mobility issues, and individual needs.
• Develop comprehensive, customized treatment plans based on patient evaluations and goals.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, ensuring they understand proper techniques to promote healing and rehabilitation.
• Implement techniques such as manual therapy, massage, and other stimulation methods that encourage recovery.
• Assist patients in using mobility aids such as wheelchairs, crutches, and walkers effectively and safely.
• Continuously monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to meet evolving needs.
• Educate patients and their families on in-home treatment protocols, exercises, and lifestyle adjustments to aid recovery.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary health care teams to ensure holistic patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse demographic, including children, adults, and the elderly, each presenting varying challenges and diagnosis. Understanding the unique needs of each patient enhances engagement and contributes significantly to their physical rehabilitation journey.

Qualifications

• Valid Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree.
• State licensure in Physical Therapy, allowing you to practice in Virginia.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients and their families.
• Proficient in using technology for patient records, treatment documentation, and scheduling.
• Ability to demonstrate flexibility and agility in a fast-paced home care setting.

Preferred Experience

Candidate should possess a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in physical therapy practice, with a preference for home care experience. Comprehensive knowledge and experience in diverse therapeutic techniques will be considered an advantage.

Compensation and Benefits
