Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough initial evaluations and develop tailored treatment plans based on patient needs and goals, demonstrating an advanced understanding of physical therapy practices.
• Independently assess and manage a caseload of patients, utilizing evidence-based treatment methods, particularly in outpatient orthopedics, with a focus on spine care.
• Implement department policies and ensure compliance with state regulations and guidelines governing physical therapy practices.
• Maintain patient safety and rights by adhering to protocols concerning hygiene and sanitation, while ensuring confidentiality of all private health information.
• Foster professional relationships with patients, their families, and interdepartmental support teams to enhance the patient experience and outcomes.
• Participate in community health initiatives and educational projects to promote wellness and physical health.
• Utilize software systems such as Microsoft Word and Excel for documentation and communication purposes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with patients recovering from orthopedic injuries, those needing rehabilitation after surgery, and individuals with chronic musculoskeletal conditions. Your compassionate approach will be crucial in helping patients regain their mobility, strength, and confidence.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program; candidates with a Master's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy are preferred.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Florida, with an active license in good standing.
• CPR certification that is current and must be maintained throughout your employment.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience working in outpatient orthopedic settings, particularly with spinal care, is strongly preferred.
• Experience in formulating and executing individualized treatment plans tailored for diverse patient demographics.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize a busy caseload with minimal administrative burden, allowing you to focus on patient care.
