Key Responsibilities

• Direct comprehensive physical therapy treatment plans aimed at preventing disabilities, relieving pain, and enhancing muscle function.
• Supervise and guide physical therapy assistants in implementing care plans effectively, ensuring adherence to best practices.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of clients, utilizing diagnostic assessments to determine physical capabilities and limitations.
• Assess the physical environment of clients to make actionable recommendations for maximizing their independence.
• Deliver prescribed physical therapy services, including manual therapeutic exercises, traction, and modalities for pain relief.
• Adapt and fit prosthetic and orthotic devices while collaborating closely with physicians on necessary modifications.
• Engage in case conferences as part of the interdisciplinary team to develop and review comprehensive care plans.
• Maintain accurate and detailed clinical records, including initial evaluations, care plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Consult with clients and their families about treatment plans and ensure they are well-informed about their rehabilitation process.
• Complete documentation and administrative tasks efficiently, in alignment with company policies and timelines.
• Perform on-site functional assessments and adjust care plans as required to meet evolving patient needs.
• Participate in other duties as assigned to help achieve the organization's mission and goals.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or equivalent educational background.
• Active Physical Therapist license in Florida, with an impeccable record and no history of sanctions.

• Proficiency in using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, particularly Web PT, for accurate documentation and patient tracking.

• Previous experience in an outpatient setting, particularly in home healthcare or rehabilitation.

Compensation and Benefits

The anticipated salary for this physical therapist role ranges between USD 100,000 and 120,000 annually, complemented by an array of comprehensive benefits.
