Together with DocGo's integrated Ambulnz medical transport services, DocGo is bridging the gap between physical and virtual care.Responsibilities:Contact payers to verify claim status via phone or web and follow up on unpaid claimsProcess appeals on aged insurance claims/denialsAbility to analyze, identify and resolve issues which may cause payer payment delaysIdentify and resolve claim edits through understanding of billing guidelines and payer requirementsReconcile commercial and government accounts, ensuring CPT and diagnostic codes are accurateInterpret terms for Managed Care, Commercial, Medicare, Medicaid and Workers' Compensation and No Fault when applicableReview all EOBs for correct payment, deductible, adjustments, and denialsDetermining the status of claims with the insurance company, if the claim meets contractual agreements or needs adjustmentReconcile account balances, and verify payments are applied correctlyMaintain well aged accounts, promptly resolve and resubmit denied unpaid claims in a timely and efficient mannerFollow up on Appeals/corrected submitted claimsReview and correct billing errors, which require a strong knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 codingReview and audit customer service account inquiriesReceive inbound/outbound customer service callsProvide excellent customer service to all patients, Insurances & FacilitiesReview and correct all rejections in clearing houseOther duties as assignedRequirements:1+ years billing follow-up experience with a high-volume practice or clinic, ambulance experience preferredExcellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environmentAnalytical - collects and researches data; uses intuition and experience to complement dataExcellent Follow-up skills including appeals/reconsiderationsFamiliarity with Microsoft Office SuiteWorking knowledge of Zoll Data SystemsEEO/AAP Statement: DocGo is an equal opportunity employer.
