Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to identify the specific needs of patients and develop tailored treatment plans that align with their goals.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions including, but not limited to, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy to facilitate effective treatment.

• Lead psychoeducational groups and support groups designed to foster peer connections and build community resilience among those facing similar challenges.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for each patient.

• Provide crisis intervention services, offering support and strategies during mental health emergencies, and addressing immediate concerns with sensitivity and empathy.

• Educate clients about their mental health conditions, guiding them toward understanding treatment options and available community resources to enhance their journey to recovery.

• Ensure robust documentation practices are upheld, maintaining confidential records in compliance with state laws and ethical standards.

• Engage actively in ongoing training and professional development opportunities, including staying abreast of the latest research and advancements in therapeutic strategies.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The Counseling Center serves a diverse client population, from adolescents to seniors, addressing various mental health issues such as trauma, mood disorders, and substance use disorders. Our approach emphasizes inclusivity and cultural competence, recognizing and respecting the different backgrounds and experiences each client brings to the therapeutic space.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Valid and current licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas.

• In-depth knowledge of mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment modalities.

• Demonstrable ability to perform comprehensive mental health assessments and craft effective, individualized treatment plans.

• Experience in delivering therapy to individuals and groups, particularly with diverse demographics.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and standard office applications.

Compensation and Benefits\n
