Role Description The Head Chef is a full-time, on-site role based in Miami Beach, FL, responsible for overseeing all culinary operations within a luxury residential hospitality environment. This position leads menu development and execution, ensuring dishes reflect the community’s identity, seasonal ingredients, and high standards of quality and presentation. The Head Chef manages kitchen staff scheduling, training, and performance, promotes a positive and inclusive work culture, and enforces food safety, sanitation, and cost-control procedures. Day-to-day tasks include supervising food preparation, coordinating service with front-of-house teams, monitoring inventory and vendor relationships, and maintaining efficient kitchen workflows. The role also involves collaborating with leadership on culinary concepts, resident programming, and special events to enhance the overall guest experience. Qualifications Strong culinary skills, including menu creation, recipe development, and high-volume kitchen execution in a luxury or upscale setting. Experience in kitchen management, including staff leadership, training, scheduling, and fostering a respectful, inclusive team environment. Knowledge of food safety, sanitation standards, and compliance with local health regulations; experience implementing efficient operational systems. Ability to manage inventory, cost control, vendor relationships, and budgeting to ensure consistent quality and profitability. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with hospitality, operations, and resident engagement teams. Proven ability to design menus aligned with wellness and lifestyle programming, including dietary accommodations and resident preferences. Prior experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef, ideally in luxury residential, hotel, resort, or high-end restaurant environments. Culinary degree or equivalent professional training is preferred; food handler and related certifications are an asset.
