Key Responsibilities\n

The Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor will be tasked with the following:

• Conducting thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to understand clients' histories and tailor appropriate treatment plans.

• Creating and implementing personalized treatment strategies that prioritize trauma recovery and resilience-building in patients.
\n
• Delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions to enable clients to process their trauma and develop effective coping strategies.
\n
• Collaborating closely with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams to facilitate holistic and integrated care.
\n
• Providing crisis intervention and immediate support during trauma-related emergencies.
\n
• Educating clients and their families on trauma responses and valuable coping mechanisms to aid recovery.
\n
• Maintaining compliance with legal and ethical standards through precise documentation and client records management.
\n
• Participating in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development to stay current with innovative trauma-informed care practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily work with children and youth exhibiting signs of trauma, anxiety, and related behavioral issues. Our client population is diverse, encompassing various backgrounds and experiences, which will require sensitivity, understanding, and cultural competence when formulating treatment approaches. We are particularly looking for behavioral health generalists willing to work with couples and families, for which we provide comprehensive training.

Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling or a closely related field from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in the state of Illinois.

• Strong knowledge of trauma-related disorders and familiarity with trauma-informed treatment modalities.

Preferred Experience\n
