Finance Assistant

Position Title: Finance Assistant Classification: Non-exempt Reports To: Controller Hours: Full Time (40 hours/week) Location: Salt Lake Office Compensation: $21-$23 an hour Position Summary Provide operational and administrative support to the finance team by processing transactions, maintaining records, and assisting with day-to-day activities. This role helps ensure accurate data, timely processing, and effective coordination across departments. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Process vendor invoices and coordinate payments Assist with issuing payments and maintaining payment records Record and track incoming payments Prepare reports and follow up on outstanding balances Maintain and update financial and operational records Support team members with data entry, reporting, and administrative tasks Assist with researching and resolving discrepancies or issues Organize and maintain files and documentation Contribute to process improvements and workflow efficiency Provide general administrative support to the broader team as needed Qualifications: Education and Experience: High School diploma or equivalent required Previous experience in an administrative, finance support, or operations role preferred 2–4 years of experience in a professional office environment Required Job Skills: Strong attention to detail and organization skills Problem-solving and critical thinking Reliable and dependable High level of integrity and professionalism Proficient in Excel and general office software Positive attitude and willingness to support team needs Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines Physical: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate verbally and to listen for instructions and information.
