Work Environment

Our work setting is on-site in our modern rehabilitation center, which features specialized equipment and designated areas for various therapeutic modalities. As part of a close-knit team consisting of two physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA), you will collaborate closely with your colleagues to ensure a supportive and effective treatment environment. The work schedule encompasses Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, providing a balanced approach to work-life integration while ensuring we meet the growing needs of our patient population.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients to identify their specific rehabilitation needs and desired outcomes.
• Design and implement comprehensive treatment plans incorporating a diverse array of therapeutic techniques.
• Manage a patient caseload effectively, typically handling one patient per hour to ensure focused and personalized treatment.
• Utilize evidence-based practices to provide treatments that enhance motion, reduce pain, and promote recovery.
• Educate patients about their conditions and develop strategies to improve their mobility and function.
• Maintain meticulous documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, recording treatment progress and outcomes.
• Monitor patient progress regularly and adjust treatment plans as necessary, ensuring they meet evolving healthcare needs.
• Encourage and motivate patients throughout their recovery journey to foster a sense of independence and confidence.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes and overall care effectiveness.
• Advocate for patient wellness, including promoting healthy lifestyle choices that improve strength, flexibility, and balance.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of our practice is on outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation. The patient population includes individuals recovering from musculoskeletal injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, and chronic pain management. You will engage with a diverse range of clients, from active sports enthusiasts to seniors seeking to improve their functional independence. This role is essential in helping our patients achieve their physical health goals and return to the activities they love.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or a related field; Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred.
• Current and valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey.
• Impeccable professional conduct with no disciplinary actions on record.
• Strong understanding of orthopedic physical therapy practices and rehabilitative techniques.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively educate and motivate patients.
• Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of clinical experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting.
• Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques and exercise prescription.
• Experience in developing individualized treatment and wellness plans to enhance patient outcomes.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this position is competitive, with a salary range of USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
