Voted Glassdoor's Employee Choice Awards- Best Places to Work, This is R/A !Job SummaryAs the Catering Director for a premier, high-volume corporate dining account in NYC, you will oversee all catering and event operations, delivering exceptional hospitality experiences for executive-level meetings, conferences, and large-scale corporate events. You will lead a high-performing team, cultivate strategic client partnerships, and drive operational excellence while ensuring every event reflects the highest standards of service, culinary quality, and innovation. Success in this role requires strong leadership, financial acumen, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, client-focused environment where attention to detail and flawless execution are paramount.Key Responsibilities:* Serve as the primary point of contact for corporate clients and stakeholders regarding catering services* Oversee planning and execution of meetings, conferences, executive events, town halls, and special functions* Develops and maintains the catering marketing plan, including a comprehensive event planning service to clients and detailed menu development* Hires, trains, and schedules catering staff, and will be actively involved in the development of existing catering staff in-service techniques, menu presentation, policies, and procedures* Ensures successful operations of catering functions, including labor cost control, food cost control, and preparation, transportation, setup, operation, and cleanup of all eventsPreferred Qualifications:* A Bachelor's Degree is required in Hospitality or Culinary Arts* Minimum of 5 years of catering management experience in the hospitality industry* Experience in high-volume corporate dining preferred* Booking, selecting, and costing menu items, pricing contracts, and resourcing temporary help and equipment experience is key* The ability to supervise food preparation, service, and cleanup is also essentialApply to Restaurant Associates today!Restaurant Associates is a member of Compass Group USAClick here to Learn More about the Compass StoryCompass Group is an equal opportunity employer.
