Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough initial assessments to determine clients’ mental health status and needs.

• Create and implement tailored therapeutic plans that address identified issues and promote mental well-being.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based interventions to effectively assist clients in managing their disorders.

• Regularly monitor and document clients’ progress in a clear and timely manner using our electronic health record (EHR) system.

• Provide referrals to other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists and social services, when necessary.

• Participate in regular supervision and team meetings to discuss case management, best practices, and professional development opportunities.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a mental health counselor at Seaview, you will work with a diverse range of clients, including adolescents and adults facing mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, substance use disorders, trauma-related concerns, and eating disorders. Your ability to connect with individuals from various backgrounds will be essential in promoting trust and engagement in the therapeutic process.

Qualifications\n

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in New York State.

• Minimum of four years of clinical experience in mental health counseling, with a demonstrated capacity to manage diverse and complex cases.

Compensation and Benefits\n
