Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct initial evaluations and interviews to comprehensively assess clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health needs.

• Document and manage each case from the initial consultation through the treatment process, ensuring that all records are kept up to date and in compliance with healthcare regulations.

• Design individualized and group intervention plans that foster positive outcomes for individuals, families, and community groups.

• Lead both individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based practices and innovative therapeutic techniques tailored to meet client goals.

• Regularly monitor client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to optimize patient care.

• Collaborate effectively with other mental health professionals, including doctors, psychiatrists, and social workers, to ensure a cohesive approach to client treatment.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role centers around diverse client backgrounds, including adults, families, and children, each facing various mental health and emotional challenges. You will provide support for those dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders, emphasizing a client-focused approach that respects individual experiences and promotes recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current, valid licensure in New York State as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R.
\n
• A pass score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Demonstrated history of effective counseling practice, with a focus on client outcomes.

Preferred Experience\n

• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record systems, preferably AVATAR.

• Previous experience in telehealth is highly desirable, providing familiarity with remote counseling tools and techniques.

• Familiarity with best practices established by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Strong understanding and insight into the pharmacological treatments prescribed by medical professionals.
