Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations, including preliminary interviews and assessments to determine clients’ needs and challenges.

• Develop and implement personalized intervention plans tailored to the unique needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions utilizing a variety of therapeutic techniques and evidence-based practices to foster healing and growth.
\n
• Monitor and document progress throughout the treatment process, adjusting strategies as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals—including psychiatrists, social workers, and nurses—to coordinate client care and manage referrals effectively.

• Provide ongoing support to clients’ families and primary caregivers, helping them navigate mental health challenges and fostering a holistic approach to recovery.

• Stay informed of the latest developments in psychotherapy, mental health practices, and research to bring innovative and effective strategies to client care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work with a diverse clientele, including individuals struggling with a range of mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, addiction, and trauma-related disorders. Your ability to resonate with and understand the cultural and socioeconomic contexts of our clients will greatly enhance the effectiveness of your interventions and support.

Qualifications\n

• Education: A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Licensure: Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in California.
\n
• Examinations: A pass score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE) is mandated.
\n
• Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with outstanding interpersonal abilities, are essential.

• Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with electronic health record systems, specifically AVATAR, is highly desirable.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience working as a mental health counselor in a clinical or community health setting is preferred.

• Experience addressing co-occurring disorders and understanding substance use treatment protocols enhances candidacy.
\n
• Knowledge of American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices and treatment guidelines is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits\n
