Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients’ mental health, evaluating factors such as history, current state, and presenting issues.

• Develop and implement individual treatment plans that reflect clients' goals and therapeutic needs, utilizing evidence-based practices.

• Maintain regular sessions with clients to monitor progress, make necessary adjustments to treatment plans, and provide ongoing support.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, focusing on empowerment and skill-building to help clients navigate their challenges.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists and other healthcare providers, to coordinate holistic care for clients.

• Remain informed on current mental health trends, treatment methodologies, and legal guidelines to ensure compliance and quality care.

• Document all interactions and interventions in our electronic health record (EHR) system, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.

• Participate in professional development workshops and training sessions to enhance clinical skills and cultural competency.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will predominantly support adult clients dealing with mental health issues including, but not limited to, depression, anxiety disorders, trauma, substance use, and eating disorders. You will bring a culturally sensitive approach to therapy, recognizing the unique backgrounds and experiences of each client. Your work will directly support clients in achieving their personal treatment goals and improving their overall well-being.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure (LMFT, LPC, LCSW) in the state of New Jersey is essential.

• A minimum of four years of direct experience providing mental health counseling in a clinical setting.

• Proficient in evidence-based treatments and strategies for diverse populations, with a strong commitment to cultural humility.

• Excellent crisis intervention skills, with an ability to maintain professionalism and composure in high-stress situations.

• Strong verbal and written communication abilities, well-developed interpersonal skills, and a knack for building rapport with clients.

• Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other clinical documentation software.

• A commitment to ethical practice, professional boundaries, and client confidentiality.

Compensation and Benefits\n
