Our operational hours are Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with some evening shifts required based on patient needs. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments for individuals seeking treatment for substance use disorders to identify specific needs and establish goals.

• Design and implement customized treatment plans that include evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to each patient’s unique circumstances.

• Provide one-on-one counseling sessions, utilizing techniques such as motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral therapy to facilitate recovery.

• Facilitate engaging group therapy sessions to foster peer support and share experiences among individuals in recovery.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and addiction specialists, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for patients.

• Offer crisis intervention support to patients experiencing acute substance-related emergencies, providing immediate and effective guidance.

• Educate patients and their families on addiction issues, coping strategies, and available community resources to aid in their recovery.

• Maintain stringent confidentiality and comply with ethical standards in all documentation and patient interactions, utilizing our electronic health record (EHR) system to track progress and outcomes.

• Participate actively in team meetings and professional development opportunities, contributing to case consultations for ongoing learning and growth.

• Stay updated on the latest research and advancements in substance use disorder treatment to continually enhance therapeutic practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our primary focus is serving individuals impacted by substance use disorders, a diverse population that represents a wide array of backgrounds and experiences. Our therapist will be expected to provide culturally sensitive and individualized care that meets the varied needs of our client population.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in New York State.

• In-depth knowledge of substance use disorders and familiarity with evidence-based treatment modalities and recovery-oriented approaches.

• Experience in delivering individual and group therapy, particularly in the context of substance use treatment.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills with a non-judgmental, empathetic demeanor to build trusting relationships with patients.

• Ability to uphold professional boundaries and maintain confidentiality while adhering to ethical guidelines.

• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant computer applications.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from USD 115,000 to 130,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
