Work Environment\n

This role operates in a remote setting, providing the flexibility needed to balance work and personal commitments. You will be part of an innovative outpatient office environment that emphasizes collaboration and professional growth. Your work schedule will primarily be Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts when patient needs arise. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to identify the unique needs of each child and adolescent.

• Create individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based practices and consider developmental stages and family context.

• Provide therapeutic interventions such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), play therapy, and family therapy to effectively address mental health issues.
\n
• Engage in family therapy sessions, guiding parents and caregivers on strategies to create a nurturing environment.
\n
• Collaborate with a team of child psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers to coordinate comprehensive care.
\n
• Respond to mental health crises and provide immediate support to children and families during critical situations.
\n
• Educate young clients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and local resources.
\n
• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation in alignment with ethical guidelines and legal requirements.

• Participate in regular team meetings and professional development sessions to share best practices and stay current in the field.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be the mental health needs of children and adolescents experiencing challenges such as anxiety, depression, attention- deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and other behavioral disorders. You will have the opportunity to work closely with families, empowering them with the tools needed to support their loved ones’ mental health journeys.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
\n
• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York.
\n
• Two years of post-licensure experience in a clinical, pediatric, or mental health setting focused on children and adolescents.
\n
• Robust knowledge of child and adolescent mental health disorders, treatment modalities, and therapeutic approaches.
\n
• Demonstrated experience in delivering both individual therapy and family therapy to pediatric populations.
\n
• Excellent communication skills with a compassionate approach to building rapport with children and families.
\n
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and effective use of computer applications for therapy documentation.
