This role is primarily remote, allowing our counselors to maintain flexibility while still being a vital part of our outpatient office team. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients to evaluate their mental health status, including interviewing clients, gathering historical data, and employing diagnostic tools.

• Develop personalized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based therapeutic modalities tailored to individual diagnoses, including but not limited to anxiety disorders, depression, and substance use disorders.

• Host regularly scheduled therapy sessions, both one-on-one and in group settings, to support clients in achieving their therapeutic goals.

• Monitor client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary, and offering referrals to additional healthcare professionals, such as psychiatrists, for medication management when indicated.

• Document all client interactions and treatment plans accurately using our EHR system to ensure continuity of care and compliance with regulatory standards.
\n
• Engage in regular supervision and professional development activities, including training in the latest treatment methodologies and participating in team meetings to discuss improved practices.

• Provide emergency crisis intervention as required, maintaining a calm demeanor while assessing and addressing critical situations.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work with a diverse client population, including individuals facing a range of issues such as depression, anxiety, substance abuse, and eating disorders. This role requires cultural competence and sensitivity to the varied backgrounds of clients, allowing you to create a supportive and inclusive therapeutic space where clients feel understood and empowered to share their experiences and challenges.

Qualifications\n

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.

• A minimum of four years of related experience in mental health counseling or therapy.

• A deep understanding of mental health disorders and familiarity with evidence-based treatment approaches.

• Experience in both individual and group therapy settings, utilizing culturally sensitive methodologies.

• Strong crisis intervention skills and the ability to remain composed in high-pressure situations.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary range for this position is competitive, falling between USD 70,000 and USD 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
