Schedule / Job Type

Contract (13 or 26 weeks available) | Night Shift | 3x12-hour shifts (18:45–07:15) | Every other weekend coverage expected | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit serving adult and geriatric populations with diagnoses including stroke/TIA, seizure, CHF, sepsis, respiratory failure, acute kidney failure, chest pain, and encephalopathy
• Support a unit with a strong focus on patient experience, including care for higher-acuity med-surg patients and stroke/TIA inpatients
• Perform and assist with specialized procedures including peritoneal dialysis and continuous bladder irrigation
• Administer and manage medications using the Omnicell medication system
• Document and manage patient records using EPIC EMR
• Float to other units and/or campuses as needed based on census, within demonstrated competencies

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of Tennessee required
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in a Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit
• Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required — first-time travelers are not eligible
• Must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible; candidates residing 50–99.9 miles away may be considered at a reduced rate; candidates under 50 miles are ineligible (Night Shift – Adult Medical Tele exception applies)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience caring for stroke, TIA, or neurologically complex patient populations
• Familiarity with peritoneal dialysis and continuous bladder irrigation procedures
• Experience working in a high-acuity med-surg or telemetry environment
