About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Communications and Marketing to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic communication and marketing plans that align with the organization's mission of promoting clean and equitable energy systems. This role involves creating and disseminating content that educates and engages the public, as well as supporting community initiatives to overcome local barriers to solar energy. The VP will also oversee the management of various communication channels, including social media, and work to enhance the organization's visibility and impact. Applicants for the Vice President of Communications and Marketing position at the company should have a proven track record in a similar role, preferably within the nonprofit sector. A deep understanding of the principles of clean and renewable energy, particularly solar, is essential. The role requires a creative and strategic thinker with excellent leadership and team management skills. A Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, or a related field is typically required, and a Master's degree is a plus.
