Finance Assistant - Finance Department

Overview The Borough of Tenafly, Bergen County (pop. 15,500) is seeking a detail‑oriented and motivated Finance Assistant to join our Finance Department. The role will support the Chief Financial Officer/Tax Collector and perform various related duties as needed within the department. Responsibilities Maintain vendor records and required documentation. Prepare bill lists and adhere to resolution deadlines. Print and distribute checks. Maintain purchase order files. Process stop payments. Handle Open Public Records Act (OPRA) requests. Support the Chief Financial Officer/Tax Collector and perform related duties as required. Qualifications Two years of municipal experience, preferably in Accounts Payable. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines. Experience with Edmunds software highly desirable. Compensation & Benefits Salary range: $45,000 – $65,000 per year.
