Motion Restore Therapy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist (PT) to join our team at our rehabilitation facility in East Orange, New Jersey. As a vital part of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered physical therapy services to individuals recovering from various conditions. Work Environment

The selected candidate will work onsite in our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility located in East Orange. Designed to promote healing and recovery, our space is outfitted with advanced therapy equipment and comfortable treatment areas. We emphasize a positive and collaborative workplace culture, where our staff is valued and encouraged to share their insights and contribute to patient care. Our typical working hours are Monday through Friday, 2 PM to 8 PM, offering you evenings free for personal growth and relaxation.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient evaluations to assess physical abilities and conditions, informing the development of individualized therapy plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Manage and oversee the comprehensive therapeutic process for an assigned group of patients, coordinating closely with physicians and support staff.
• Implement and adjust treatment interventions aimed at improving functional mobility and overall patient well-being, using evidence-based practices and compliance with professional standards.
• Educate patients and their caregivers on exercise regimens, therapeutic devices, and strategies to promote recovery outside therapy sessions.
• Monitor patient progress and adapt care plans as necessary, ensuring that goals are aligned with patient needs and physician directives.
• Organize and manage your caseload efficiently, prioritizing tasks and determining daily treatment strategies effectively.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will cater to a diverse patient population, encompassing individuals of all ages who are recovering from surgeries, injuries, and chronic conditions. Your expertise will be essential in supporting patients through the rehabilitation process, enhancing their physical function, and promoting a better quality of life. You will encounter a variety of cases related to orthopedic issues, neurological conditions, and post-operative rehabilitation, making every day a learning opportunity as you interface with patients at different stages of recovery.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy or a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid Physical Therapy license to practice in New Jersey.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• A strong commitment to patient care, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Experience

• Previous clinical experience in a rehabilitation setting is preferred, although new graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Familiarity with advanced physical therapy techniques, including modalities and exercise-based rehabilitation.
• Experience working in a collaborative healthcare environment and coordinating care with multidisciplinary teams.
