Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to understand clients' unique stressors, challenges, and therapeutic goals, tailoring mindfulness practices to their needs.

• Implement mindfulness-based interventions, including Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), to facilitate stress relief and improve overall mental health.

• Guide clients through mindfulness exercises, such as meditation and mindful breathing techniques, promoting self-awareness and emotional balance.

• Facilitate engaging group workshops and classes focused on mindfulness, stress management, and strategies for building resilience.
\n
• Incorporate mindfulness into individualized therapy sessions, addressing specific mental health concerns and nurturing clients’ growth.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare providers to develop comprehensive treatment plans that integrate mindfulness practices effectively.

• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation regarding client progress, mindfulness interventions utilized, and overall treatment plans to ensure continuity of care.

• Engage in ongoing professional development, including regular personal mindfulness practice, to stay current with industry best practices and enhance therapeutic techniques.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your role as a mental health counselor will center around supporting diverse individuals who may be experiencing high levels of stress, anxiety, and other mental health challenges. The clients you will work with come from various backgrounds and demographics, reflecting the rich diversity of the Hillsboro community. Your expertise in mindfulness will be instrumental in helping clients cultivate awareness, reduce stress, and gain valuable coping mechanisms.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Oregon.

• Proficiency in integrating mindfulness concepts into therapy, with an emphasis on MBSR methodologies preferred.

• Exceptional communication abilities, enabling you to create a supportive and calming atmosphere for therapeutic engagement.

Preferred Experience\n

• Training or certification in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is highly preferred but not mandatory.

• Experience working with diverse populations in a community health setting.

• Familiarity with telehealth practices and experience working remotely is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits\n
