Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments of patients and their families to identify emotional, social, and environmental factors impacting their treatment and recovery journey.

• Facilitate effective discharge planning by collaborating with healthcare teams, consulting physicians, and third-party payers to secure suitable post-hospitalization resources.

• Provide ongoing education and counseling to patients and families to help them adjust to the challenges associated with addiction and recovery.

• Utilize both crisis intervention strategies and therapeutic modalities, such as individual, group, and family therapy, tailored to the unique needs of patients.

• Serve as a resource for staff and contribute to educational initiatives for other healthcare professionals related to mental health and psychosocial oncology practices.

• Carry an on-call responsibility to address urgent after-hour needs and ensure support is available when patients require immediate assistance.

• Conduct clinical evaluations of patients for mental health concerns, including depression and anxiety, delivering short-term counseling as appropriate.

• Engage in community service activities that promote education, research, and access to resources for cancer survivors and their families.

• Participate in presenting at educational conferences, showcasing expertise in psychosocial oncology and best practices in clinical social work.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.

• Current, unrestricted LICSW license in the state of Washington.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 70,000 to 100,000 yearly, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
