We identify and develop recording artists and songwriters, and we produce, distribute and promote the most critically acclaimed and commercially successful music to delight and entertain fans around the world.**How we LEAD:**We are currently seeking an eager and exceptional Paralegal Administrative Assistant in our Santa Monica office. The person in this position will provide paralegal support to litigation attorneys in the Business and Legal Affairs Department.**How you'll CREATE:*** Support policing of infringement of our content, including the investigation, evidence collection, confirmation of rights, and working with counsel to assert and pursue claims* Research claims asserted by and against UMG business units* Assist in responding to discovery requests, subpoenas, liens, and levies* Assist with a comprehensive quarterly report of legal matters affecting the company, including liaising with other attorneys, departments and agencies for updated information* Review and summarize contracts* Prepare and revise agreements, charts, memoranda, correspondence and other documents* Provide administrative support, including preparation and handling of correspondence, expense reports, and travel arrangements* Other duties as assigned by supervisors**Bring your VIBE:**Skills/Abilities:* Excellent verbal and written communication skills; extremely detail-oriented* Professional demeanor and sound judgment* Follows up on delegated assignments through completion* Self-starter, who takes initiative and is resourceful; takes ownership of tasks and projects* Ability to multi-task and prioritize; works well under pressure* Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively* Excellent typing and computer skills, including in Word, Excel, OutlookExperience:* Advanced computer experience: Microsoft Word (including tables and redlining), Excel* Prior experience as a paralegal, with preparation of claims, or contract analysis is a plusEducation:* BA or BS degree from an accredited college or university**Perks Playlist:**Join an entrepreneurial, global organization where authenticity, boldness, creativity, connection, drive, and insight aren’t just values—they’re how we work every day.
