Senior Business Central Analyst

Location: Providence, RI or Boston, MA (Hybrid)

Our client, a growing and well-established organization in the manufacturing and distribution sector, is seeking a Senior Business Central Applications Specialist to join their team. This is a highly visible role responsible for supporting, optimizing, and enhancing Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central across multiple business units.

The ideal candidate will bring strong functional and technical expertise within Business Central and have hands-on experience supporting warehousing, manufacturing, inventory, and supply chain operations.

Responsibilities

* Serve as the primary Business Central subject matter expert for end users and business stakeholders.
* Partner with operations, warehouse, manufacturing, finance, and leadership teams to identify opportunities for process improvement.
* Configure, maintain, and optimize Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central to support evolving business requirements.
* Analyze business processes and translate requirements into scalable Business Central solutions.
* Support manufacturing, inventory management, warehouse management, procurement, and distribution workflows.
* Troubleshoot system issues and coordinate with external partners when necessary.
* Develop reports, dashboards, and data insights to support operational decision-making.
* Assist with system upgrades, testing, user training, and documentation.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives across ERP and related business applications.

Qualifications

* 5+ years of experience supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (or Dynamics NAV).
* Strong understanding of manufacturing, warehousing, inventory management, and supply chain operations.
* Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into system solutions.
* Knowledge of Business Central configuration, workflows, reporting, and integrations.
* Ability to work cross-functionally with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Experience supporting end users in a manufacturing, distribution, or warehouse-driven environment.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Experience

* Experience with Business Central implementations, upgrades, or optimization projects.
* Exposure to Power BI, Power Platform, SQL, or reporting tools.
* Understanding of production planning, shop floor operations, inventory costing, and warehouse processes.
* Experience working within multi-site manufacturing or distribution environments.
