Accounts Payable Accounting ClerkWaldwick, NJ | 100% Onsite | Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PMCompensation: $26.00 - $30.00 per hourA well-established service and construction-focused company in Waldwick, NJ is seeking an Accounts Payable Accounting Clerk to join its accounting team.This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a hands-on accounting position with a strong AP focus and the opportunity to work closely with Purchasing and Project Management. Experience in a construction, service, contracting, or project-based environment is a plus.What You'll DoProcess and accurately enter invoices into the company's accounting systemReview invoices against parts orders and work with Purchasing and Project Managers to ensure invoices match materials receivedAssist with vendor payments for job-related and general company expensesMaintain and update vendor informationEnter payroll hours, job numbers and cost codesPartner with Purchasing and Project Management to resolve invoice and accounting questionsProvide support with Accounts Receivable and collection calls as neededReconcile credit card payments and enter expense reportsScan, organize and electronically file accounting documentsGenerate reports and assist with general accounting and administrative tasksWork as part of a team to provide backup and cross-training within the accounting departmentPerform other general accounting duties as neededWhat We're Looking ForHigh school diploma or equivalent required; some college-level accounting or bookkeeping coursework is a plusPrevious Accounts Payable or general accounting experienceExperience working with invoices, vendors and purchase ordersConstruction, service, contracting or project-related accounting experience is helpfulFamiliarity with an accounting or ERP system; Spectrum by Viewpoint experience is a plusStrong attention to detail and accuracyGood communication and organizational skillsAbility to collaborate effectively with Purchasing, Project Management and other departmentsExcel SkillsAdvanced Excel skills are not required.
