Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments through interviews and evaluation sessions with clients and their families, identifying key social and emotional factors that impact their mental health.

• Develop individualized treatment plans using a variety of trauma-informed therapeutic techniques, particularly for clients dealing with substance use disorders and traumatic experiences.

• Monitor clients' progress, providing follow-up sessions to ensure they are receiving the maximum benefits from care, and make necessary adjustments to treatment strategies.

• Research and refer clients to community resources, such as financial support services, housing assistance, and healthcare options, advocating on their behalf to ensure their needs are met.

• Respond proactively to crisis situations, including mental health emergencies and cases of abuse, providing immediate support and intervention.

• Collaborate with other health care professionals to coordinate care and ensure a holistic approach to patient treatment, contributing to integrated care initiatives.

• Maintain thorough and accurate documentation for clinical assessments, treatment plans, and compliance with Department of Mental Health billing standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily serve individuals who are struggling with substance use disorders, many of whom have also experienced trauma. This role requires a sensitive understanding of the unique challenges these populations face, including mental health crises, socio-economic barriers, and family dynamics. Your insights and interventions will strategically aim to break the cycles of trauma and addiction, facilitating their path toward recovery and stability.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• A valid Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) license is required.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience providing mental health services, preferably in a health-related setting.

• Proven experience working with veterans is highly desirable.

• Demonstrated knowledge of mental health billing and documentation requirements.

Compensation and Benefits\n
